New Kid On The Block - Meet Our New Payroll Assistant
There's a new kid on the block here at Raffingers. Meet Annick, our new Payroll Assistant! To celebrate this new arrival into the Raffingers team, we thought we'd give our readers an insight into our new team member so that you can learn more about her and discover her plans for the future of Raffingers.
1. What was your job role before joining us?
Before I joined Raffingers, I held the role of Payroll Executive.
2. Talk us through your prior experience?
I previously worked with a team of 7 people, doing payroll for over 200 clients varying from 0 employees to more than a thousand employees! We were in charge of chasing the client each month with payroll updates. Once received, we would then process the payroll and send it to the client for approval or changes. Once the payroll has been processed and the clients have approved the final report, we then published payslips and submitted an FPS or EPS. We also dealt with any HMRC issues, such as outstanding payments or any payments sent to HMRC that are missing.
3. What interested you about this role?
The fact that it is close to home makes it easier to commute!
4. What are you looking forward to doing most in the coming year/s?
With work, I am looking forward to learning new skills to further develop my career and, outside of work, I am very excited to go to Disneyland Paris with my daughter.
5. Do you have any hobbies outside of work? If so, what are they?
My hobby is baking - I make wedding cakes and birthday cakes for friends and family.
6. A fun fact about yourself?
I am obsessed with craft supplies - buying them but...never using them! I do still keep them just in case I need them in the future though. You never know when they'll come in handy!
7. Who inspires you?
A little cheesy, but I'd have to say that my parents inspire me a ton.
8. What’s the best book you’ve read recently?
Harry Potter!
9. What’s something you’re proud of?
My skills in crafts, hence my obsession with craft supplies!
10. What’s your idea of a perfect workday?
Where there is no problem with clients, and payroll is done smoothly with no issues.
11. If you could have dinner with 3 celebs dead or alive, who would they be?
Betty White, Dwayne Johnson and Jackie Chan.
12. If you were an animal, what one would you be and why?
I'd without a doubt be a koala. I love to cuddle and sleep!
15. What do you hope to bring to the company?
I'd like to give a helping hand where I can, followed by lots of laughter.
