We are an international accountancy and business advisory firm with thousands of business advisors with offices across the UK and Ireland, providing accounting, tax, advisory and business services to thousands of clients through a locally forged and relationship driven approach.

Our Journey

Through the years

1973

Allen Soraff established accountancy practice in a converted garage in Seven Kings.

1982

Relocates to the first office on Ilford High Road in the Woolwich Building Society with a team of 15.

1985

Merged with Stuart Nieman, forming Soraff Nieman & Co.

1986

Moves to Rosewood House in Barking, constructing a new office building, and expands the team to 35 members.

1991

Reorganises as Alan Soraff after dissolution, while Stuart Nieman forms Nieman Walters.

1992

Alan Soraff moves to number 26, Bourne Court, initiating computerised accounts production.

1995

Relocates to number 20, Bourne Court.

1996

Gary Inglis becomes a partner in Freedman Stuart.

1997

Acquires Maliney Wilkins & Co, enhancing services and expertise.

1998

Expands office space to include number 19, Bourne Court, and rebrands as Raffingers.

1999

Barry Soraff joins as a partner.

2003

Adam Moody becomes a partner.

2005

Merges with Freedman Stuart to become Raffingers Stuart, introducing wealth management and probate division.

2009

Launched social media accounts and welcomed Suda Ratnam as a partner.

2010

Expands into 21 Bourne Court, fostering a team of 70, and introduces dress-down Fridays.

2013

Andrew Coney becomes a partner.

2014

Merges with Alexander Ash & Co.

2016

Establishes The Raffingers Foundation and develops a Client Portal for enhanced client experience.

2017

Attains Futrli Certification and welcomes Neill Staff as a partner.

2018

Achieves Xero Platinum Partners status and merges with NWN (formerly Nieman Walters).

2019

Becomes one of the first firms in the UK to achieve Profit First Certified Professionals status, launches Raffingers Advisory services, and introduces Advisory and Funding Teams. Roy Butcher, Yedidya Zaiden, and Mehul Thaker join as partners.

2021

The Raffingers Foundation reaches £47,600 in donations.

2023

Celebrates 25th anniversary and appoints Charlotte Fuller as Marketing Partner and Managing Director of Raffingers Marketing Agency.

2024

Gary Inglis assumes the role of non-exec chairman, welcoming the 120th team member.

The Raffingers Foundation

We formed the Raffingers Foundation in 2016 in memory of Jason Kew – a dear husband to one of our long-standing team members and friend, who lost his life to pancreatic cancer. The foundation is run by volunteers, which means every single penny raised is distributed in one of two ways:

  1. Directly to research projects conducted by the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund and The Alzheimer’s Society.

  2. Directly to families affected by these diseases and experiencing financial difficulties. This money is used to help with costs, such as private counselling, training, and equipment.
