Raffingers Foundation was formed in 2016 in memory of Jason Kew, a dear husband to one of our long-standing team members and friend, who sadly lost his life to pancreatic cancer.
The foundation supports the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund & the Alzheimer’s Society.
With an estimated 3 million people in the UK affected by cancer and nearly a million people diagnosed with dementia, we intend to raise as much money as possible through a variety of fundraisers & events to help fight these heart-breaking illnesses. The Foundation is run by volunteers, which means every single penny raised is distributed in one of two ways:
Directly to research projects conducted by the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund and The Alzheimer’s Society.
Directly to families affected by these diseases and experiencing financial difficulties. This money is used to help with costs, such as private counselling, training, and equipment.
Whether you are affected directly by pancreatic cancer or Alzheimer’s or are a family member caring for someone with these illnesses, we can provide funding of up to £500.
These funds are given to help families experiencing financial difficulties and can help with costs, such as private counselling for any family members, training, and equipment.

A proportion of all of the money we raise is split between the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund and Alzheimer’s Society to help fund their research projects.
Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading dementia charity. They campaign for change, fund research to find a cure and support people living with dementia today. Dementia is the UK’s biggest killer. Someone develops it every three minutes, and there’s currently no cure. It’s scary facing up to Alzheimer’s and dementia, but we must confront the biggest health and social care challenge of our time.

The Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund supports research to improve the diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic cancer. To date, the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund has supported 40 research projects with grants totalling £6.2million – all through fundraising and donations.
