If you pay any of your staff the National Minimum Wage (NMW) and/ or National Living Wage (NLW), you need to be aware that as of 1st April 2024 new rates will apply.
Please note from 1 April 2024, workers aged 21 and over will be entitled to the National Living wage.
The National Minimum Wage will also increase for apprentices and workers of school leaving age. The following rates will therefore apply:
• £11.44 – the NLW for those aged 21 and over
• £8.60 – Age 18 to 20 rate
• £6.40 – Under 18 rate
• £6.40 – The apprentice rate, for apprentices under 19, or 19 or over and in the first year of their apprenticeship
What you need to do…
Due to these imminent changes, please advise us if any of your employees will be affected by the above changes prior to the submission of April’s payroll. If you have any further queries, please contact our payroll team at payroll@raffingers.co.uk.
