Abolishing Tax Returns

This does not mean the end of Self-Assessment Tax Returns…HMRC will be using another method to prepare tax returns ‘Secure Digital Tax Account’. Any information that HMRC have (bank interest, employment income, benefits) will be pre-populated on to this ‘secure digital tax account’. More information shall be provided by HMRC in 2015 outlining how this will work and who it will apply to.
