Yesterday, the Chancellor delivered the Budget 2017. It was a 'balanced' Budget that would lay the foundations for a 'prosperous and inclusive future'. There was some good news for small local pubs as the Chancellor announced that the £1,000 relief would extend up until March 2019. This may help to lower the number of local pubs that were closing as business rates were just too high. The government will also continue to freeze alcohol duty rates. We will keep you updated on any further changes. Further announcements involved: 1. Freezing Alcohol Duties 2. Pub Business Rate Relief 3. Personal Taxation and Wages 4.
