April 2020 will see significant changes affecting the recruitment industry. The introduction of new IR35 rules, key information documents, changes to the AWR and sector regulation will have a significant impact on operations and hiring policy.
Our Partner, Lee Manning, will be speaking at an all-day conference led by Lawspeed on IR35 and its implications. These will include financial implications for contractors, agencies and finance directors.
“For many years the use of contractors has limited focus on agency conduct regulations and agency worker regulations. However it’s not all about IR35, and because of the likely shift of emphasis resulting from the new rules, these regulations and consequent compliance will become more relevant. This conference is designed to approach all aspects in the round. For that reason, as well as a speaker from HMRC on IR35 itself, the head of employment at EAS (from BEIS) will be talking about agency regulations and changes also set for April 2020.” - Ravi Murphy, Director of Lawspeed.
Murphy concluded “This all day conference brings together key speakers and a presentation from our own team of legal experts on IR35, employment status as well as agency worker and contractor related compliance. It is designed to provide attendees with a rounded ‘no holds barred’ 360 degree understanding of the issues arising from the new IR35 rules set to apply in April 2020.”
