NWN Merger set to Boost Raffingers’ Creative Sector Expertise
East London based accountants and business advisors, Raffingers, has announced a merger with music and creative sector specialist, NWN Blue Squared.  The deal will move Raffingers into the Top 75 of UK accountancy firms (based on fee income) but will, more importantly, boost its expertise in the creative sector and enhance its portfolio – particularly in music, film and TV production. As well as incorporating new and existing creative clients under the “Raffingers NWN Music, Media & Entertainment” banner, all former NWN clients will now benefit from direct access to Raffingers’ wealth management, corporate finance, probate and estate and R&D services. An additional 20 staff will strengthen Raffingers’ already thriving payroll/AE, cloud-accounting (Xero) and compliance services, expansion of its offices in South Woodford (Essex) and Bishopsgate. NWN Blue Squared, established in 2007 from the original partnership of Neiman Walters Niman, transitioned from generalist accountants to focus on the creative industries and develop a reputation in specialist business management, advisory services and digital accountancy; doubling its turnover in the process. In the past 10 years, NWN has taken on a range of clients from musicians and managers to festivals and record labels. More recently, it has seen growth from the film and broadcast sectors, as well as digital and creative agencies. According to Raffingers’ Managing Partner, Gary Inglis: “This merger is a positive end to 2017 and offers an exciting New Year.  As well as strengthening our existing client base in a specialist sector we’ve been keen to diversify, we’re also taking on a wide range of other clients that will benefit from our value-added services.  NWN has created a very strong brand, with a personal approach to accountancy and its clients – something we value extremely highly.” For NWN Blue Squared Director, Ed Niman, the benefits are clear: “Our growth beyond just music and into the creative sector has exceeded our expectations.  Now, all our clients will benefit from specialist expertise combined with a stronger platform of business advisors, systems and services.” -   ENDS   - For further information contact: Lauren Aston Tel: 020 8418 2678   E-mail: Lauren.Aston@Raffingers.co.uk Or Peter Brill Tel: 0117 909 1000/07977 219016   E-mail: pbrill@net-mentor.com Notes to Editors: 1.
