Please see below the personal allowances from 6 April 2015 (2015/16) onwards:
Savings Income From 6 April 2016 a basic rate taxpayer will be able to earn up to £1000 interest without suffering any income tax. A higher rate taxpayer can earn up to £500 interest without suffering any income tax. Additional rate taxpayers will not be entitled to the tax free interest.
