Raffingers’ Golf Day to Support Pancreatic and Ovarian Cancer Causes

Friday 1 June 2018

Raffingers’ Golf Day to Support Pancreatic and Ovarian Cancer Causes
Raffingers, chartered certified accountants based in Essex and London, will hold their twelfth Charity Golf Day in aid of Raffingers Foundation on Tuesday 3 July 2018.

Raffingers Foundation is a charity set up and run by staff at Raffingers, after one of the founders lost their husband to pancreatic cancer. The charity funds research conducted by Ovarian Cancer Action and Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund. The charity also supports those affected by pancreatic and ovarian cancer directly through the Raffingers Foundation Fund, which has so far been used to cover the cost of private counselling and a memorial plaque.

Last year Raffingers Foundation raised over £19,000, with the Golf Day raising over £1,500.

Raffingers hope to welcome more clients, friends and family to this year’s Golf Day, which will take place at Toot Hill Golf Club. Toothill is one of the finest golf courses in Essex.

The day will begin at 10:30am and will include breakfast, a challenging 18-hole golf course, raffle and a three-course dinner. There will also be team and individual prizes up for grabs and competitions for Nearest the Pin and Longest Drive.

The cost of the day is £75 per person and is open to all.

Raffingers look forward to hosting their twelfth Golf Day on Tuesday 3 July. To attend or to find out more, contact lauren.kelly@raffingers.co.uk.

With an estimated 2.5 million people in the UK affected by cancer, staff at Raffingers founded ‘Raffingers Foundation’, a charity set up to honour those affected by Pancreatic and Ovarian cancer.

Raffingers Foundation was formed in 2016, in memory of Jason Kew, a dear husband and friend, who sadly lost his life to pancreatic cancer, as well as to honour those family members of the firm who have been lost to ovarian cancer. Approximately 4% of pancreatic cancer patients survive for five years or more from diagnosis; this figure is 46% for those affected by ovarian cancer. Therefore, we host a range of fundraising days throughout the year to help raise money, as well as awareness. We invite you to join us at any of these events as well as to fundraise for us.
