On Saturday 16 September 2017 Raffingers Foundation will host their first charity ball in aid of Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund and Ovarian Cancer Action.
At the Marriott Hotel in Waltham Abbey, Raffingers Foundation expect over 100 people to attend their first Charity Ball.
The night will also see the Foundation launch their Raffingers Foundation Fund. Currently, every single penny raised by the charity is split between Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund and Ovarian Cancer Action and is used to support their research projects. However, as well as giving to the charities, Raffingers Foundation has decided to put aside 50% of the money they raise to financially help those directly affected. This money can be used for counselling, support and days away for the families.
Launched in 2016, Raffingers Foundation has already raised over £8,000.
Raffingers, Chartered Certified Accountants in Essex and London, launched Raffingers Foundation after years of supporting local charities. Instead, due to personal losses within the firm, a decision was made to support charities closer to the firm’s heart. Raffingers Foundation was subsequently born and is now run by the team at Raffingers.
Lee Manning, Partner at Raffingers and Chairman of Raffingers Foundation said, “The Raffingers Foundation Charity Ball is a great opportunity for us to bring together friends, family and clients to support a great cause. Unfortunately, myself and the team at Raffingers have suffered personal losses from pancreatic and ovarian cancer and this is our opportunity to try and raise awareness and funds in the hope we can help other people affected by these diseases.
We hope for our Ball to become an annual event and are extremely grateful for all the support we have received so far from friends and clients. Many of which are attending, have kindly donated or have contributed to our Raffle and Auction. We cannot thank our supporters enough”.
