Yesterday, the Chancellor delivered the Budget 2017. It was a 'balanced' Budget that would lay the foundations for a 'prosperous and inclusive future'. On the whole there were no shock announcements. However, in the documents released after the Budget there was a note on the off-payroll working rules. As feared, the government will "carefully consult on how to tackle non-compliance in the private sector", which may be to extend the IR35 reforms to the private sector. We will keep you updated on any further changes. Further announcements involved: 1. Personal Taxation and Wages 2. Business Tax 3. Stamp Duty and Housing 4.
